Solution to 1: The Chase Begins

    The stick figures are a reference to the Dancing Man Cipher invented by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The characters do not directly translate to the Dancing Man Cipher, but rather suggest a sort of substitution cipher. Each stick figure with a different pose represents a different letter of the alphabet, and characters holding a flag mark the end of a word. Decrypting the cipher gives the phrase

    CHECK WITH TECH SUPPORT FOR THE BACKDOOR

    Another thing to notice is that the characters are drawn in the same style as the comic xkcd. In fact, in "Tech Support" from xkcd, a backdoor code word is mentioned: shibboleet, which is the solution to this puzzle.
