Solution to 1: Default Values

    This is one of the simplest ciphers imaginable: A=1, B=2, C=3, etc. The "default values" are there to provide you with some meaningful text to work with. They translate to:

    

    default0: Hi, I had a big headache.

    default1: Dad had aged a decade.

    default2: I fed a dead cidada chia.

    

    The answer is the error code translated in the same way: 38956 = CHIEF.
