Solution to #1: Julius the Third
The seemingly random circle of letters seem like they need to be deciphered, but it is unclear how. The title and portrait refer to Julius Caesar, who fortunately has a famous cipher named after him. The Caesar Cipher calls for each letter to be "rotated" through the alphabet by a number of places. In this puzzle the only obvious number, 3, is also the correct one. The final step in this puzzle is to apply the Caesar Cipher with a rotation of 3 to only the highlighted letters in the circle to spell the answer: "knowledge".
